Baloch tribe problems to be addressed soon, Deputy PM

KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for political affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir received elders and members of the Afghan Baloch Council here at the Spidar Palace, his press office said in a statement Wednesday. On behalf of others, Head of Baloch Council Sardar Ghulam Nabi Baloch and a number of other elders spoke and voiced their support to the Islamic system, according to the statement. “Baloch tribe is happy with the ruling Islamic Emirate. Our youth support the Islamic system and are ready to serve it in any sphere,” the statement quoted head of the tribal council as saying The Baloch elders briefed Deputy PM about their problems in different areas such as education and health and said that the Baloch cadres should be employed within the framework of the Islamic Emirate. In the previous administration, some warlords in the north of the country had stolen andusurped the lands and properties of the Baloch people, according to the statement quoting Baloch who asked for returning their lands and properties from the usurpers.  Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Kabir thanked Sardar Ghulam Nabi Baloch, the head and the members of the Baloch National Council for their sacrifices for the freedom of the country and support to the Islamic system and assured them of the Islamic Emirate efforts to address their problems, said the statement. “Afghanistan is the common home of all Afghans Said Deputy PM adding the Islamic Emirate sees all Afghans with one eye, discrimination and prejudice have been removed and Afghans enjoy equal rights.” “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to balanced development and the reconstruction work will begin in the Baloch areas like in other provinces,” the statement quoted Deputy PM as saying. Mawlavi Kabir said that the Islamic Emirate is taking urgent steps to address the problems of the Baloch people.

He added that the principle for appointment in government structures is competence, piety, and expertise based on these criteria, the experience of their cadres will be used. He said that the Islamic Emirate is trying to provide religious and modern education in their own language for the Balochs. Deputy PM said that the Islamic Emirate has started infrastructural projects for the sake of economic development, with the implementation of which unemployment will decrease and people’s economy will change, and the Baloch and all Afghans will benefit from it, according to the statement.
