Baghlan Ghori Cement Factory handed over to private sector

PUL-e-KHUMRI: The Baghlan Ghori Cement Factory has been handed over, for the second time to the private sector, a statement from the provincial governor office said the other day.
The factory has also been handed over to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in the last 20 years and now for the second time to the country’s national development company, according to the statement.
The deputies of the National Development Company, in their visit to Baghlan province, said that efforts are underway to increase the production of this factory and supply standard cement to the country’s market, according to the statement.
Baghlan Governor Qari Bakhtiar said that the factory has the capacity of producing 1,200 bags of cement daily and the National Development Company will try to double the production.
Riazuddin Sharifi deputy director at the National Development Company, said there were problems at the Ghori Cement factory in Baghlan, but the company would work with technicians to resolve them and bring production back to normal, the statement said. The Kabul Times
