Badaskhshan road crash claims 3 lives

FAIZABAD: At least three people have been killed in a road crash in the country’s northeastern province of Badakhshan, the provincial police official confirmed Sunday The provincial police spokesperson Ehsanullah Kamgar said three people who were residents of Kabul and Jawzjan provinces were traveling to the Kof Ab district, where their car overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Nashr area of the district that resulted in the death of all on board. “Their bodies with the cooperation of the local people have been taken to the district’s healthcare facility,” the statement quoted Kamgar as saying. Poorly constructed mountainous roads and reckless driving are mostly blamed for being the reason of tragic road accidents. A few days ago, dozens of people have been killed or wounded in traffic accidents in Sar-e-Pul, Bamyan and Samangan provinces. The Kabul Times
