Attempt to smuggle 4,000 livestock to Iran foiled in Nimroz

ZARANJ: Bid to smuggle 4,000 livestock to Iran, has been foiled by border police forces in the country’s western province of Nimroz, the provincial police office said in a statement the other day. Mullah Mohammad Dawood Ishaq police chief of Nimroz, said that the border police prevented the smuggling of 4,000 cattle to Iran and arrested two persons in connection with the case, according to the statement. “The IEA is serious about preventing smuggling and smugglers should stop their illegal activities,” the statement quoted him as saying. On the other hand, livestock sellers and residents of Zaranj city expressed satisfaction with the border police action against cattle smugglers. The Kabul Times
