Attempt to attack Nimruz governor office foiled, spokesman

KABUL: An attacker who wanted to detonate his explosive device in the Nimruz pro vincial governor office, was shot dead, Abdul Matin Qani the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said on his X page Sunday. Qani said that the attacker was trying to enter the governor office building, but identified by security forces and shot killed on the spot. The explosives, he was carrying, went off resulting in three security officials injury, he added. Meanwhile, Mohammad Qasim Khaled, governor of Nimroz, said: “I am absolutely fine. Three of our colleagues were slightly wounded and taken to the hospital.” The Kabul Times
