Asphalting industrial park road begins in Herat

HERAT: The asphalting work of Industrial Park’s main road worth 13.2 million Afghani (some 154,629.37 U.S. dollars) began in the country’s western province of Herat, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement the other day. The provincial Governor Spokesperson Mawlavi Nisar Ahmad Elyas said that the asphalting work of Industrial Park’s main road with a length of 460 kilometers and a wide of 18 meters will be built with the financial support of the municipality of Guzara district of the said district, according to the statement. Welcoming the asphalting of the main Industrial Park’s Road, a number of industrialists said that the construction of the road will completely address some of their problems, the statement added. Rafiullah Atal, one of the factory owners, said that the provision of facilities for industrialists meant support to the country’s industrial sector. He said that the Industrial Park requires the availability of proper electricity and asked the government to address this issue as well.
