IEA officials should not consider themselves ‘Amir’ but servants of the nation, SC Chief Justice

KABUL: The Eid-ul- Fitr prayer was of fered under sure security in the congregational mosque of Arg the Presidential Palace, a statement from the Prime Minister office has said. The deputy Prime Ministers and some high-ranking government officials, including Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Mawlavi Abdul Hakim Haqqani attended the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer ceremony held in the compound of the Presidential Palace, according to the statement. Prior to the prayer ceremony, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Mawlavi Abdul Hakim Haqqani congratulated the participants and the entire Afghan nation and Muslims worldwide on the advent of the auspicious Eidul- Fitr and Muslims around the world and said that the Islamic Emirate officials were the servants of the people. “The ministers and the officials of the Islamic Emirate shouldn’t consider themselves as amirs but the servants of the people,” said the country’s Chief Justice adding that the officials should appropriately fulfill their assigned responsibility. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, in his Eid speech said the Islamic system was obliged to provide the people with their rights and provide them with other facilities and that efforts were underway to fulfill its obligations. Prevailing the current sure security, many economic projects and vital works, have been launched, in many areas in the past 20 months to develop and strengthen the country’s economy, besides making strong strive in the eradication of corruption and embezzlement all over the country. As the premier said, anyone can freely share their problems with the authorities Likewise, they have to have sound criticism from any of the government’s officials and the religious scholars should do their best to act according to the orders of the divine and make effort to reform society and take firm steps in the eradication of corruption. The ordinary people, in their turn, have also spiritual and national responsibility to cooperate with the system and the elites of the country to have sound criticism from their country’s leaders to pave the way for the people’s welfare and the country’s development.
