ANSA returns another 23 low-quality oil tankers to Iran

KABUL: The Afghanistan National Standard Authority (ANSA) has returned 23 oil tankers to Iran, after assessing them as low-quality, the administration said in a statement the other day. At least 23 oil tankers had been stopped in the past one day at the Abu Nasr Farahi ground port of the country’s southern province of Farah and returned to the neighboring country of Iran for being lowquality, the statement said. The National Standard Authority has recently taken necessary steps to prevent the import of low-quality oil and gas into the country. Also, ANSA’s officials said no one would be allowed to import low-quality oil into the country and asked all national businessmen to import quality goods or they would face the law. The ANSA has earlier re turned hundreds of tankers filled with low-quality oil in the country’s western and northern ground ports to the neighboring countries. The Kabul Times
