ANSA returns 29 low-quality oil to Iran

HERAT: The Afghanistan National Standard Authority (ANSA) has returned 29 petrol and diesel oil tankers to Iran, after assessing them low-quality, it said in a statement Wednesday. “At least 29 low-quality oil-laden tankers had been stopped at the Islam Qala Port of the country’s western province of Herat and returned to Iran for being low-quality,” said the statement. The National Standard Authority has recently taken necessary steps to prevent the import of lowquality oil into the country. Meanwhile, ANSA’s officials said no one would be allowed to import low-quality oil into the country and asked all national businessmen to import quality goods or they will be dealt in accordance with the law, according to the statement. The Afghan National Standard Authority  (ANSA) has earlier sent back tens of tankers filled with low-quality oil in the country’s western ground ports to the neighboring Iran. The Kabul Times
