Another 60 Afghan families return home from Pakistan

KANDAHAR: Sixty Afghan families including 310 individuals returned from Pakistan via Spin Boldak port in the past day, the provincial Refugees and Repatriation Department said in a statement Tuesday. “The returnees after registra tion, have also been introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kandahar province for receiving necessary assistance,” the statement said. A few days ago, more than 11,000 Afghan refugees had returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran. The deportations of Afghan refugees from Iran and Pakistan have intensified in recent months, as over 400,000 Afghan refugees have so far returned to the country from Pakistan. The Kabul Times
