KABUL: Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), Zabihullah Mujahid said that report about the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, was an empty claim and added that a committee has been appointed to investigate the issue and share with the public.
“We were not aware of Al-Zawahiri’s presence in Kabul. We have committed to the world that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used against any other country and if the world countries have any information about, they should share it with the Islamic Emirate so that necessary actions to be taken,” said Mujahid.
Mujahid says that based on the Doha agreement, any proven issue should be shared with the Islamic Emirate, and if they cannot provide the information and bomb Afghanistan, then this is a trespass ad violation of the agreement.
