AKDN working on long-term draft to cooperate Afghans

KABUL: The country’s acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Special Representative of Agha Khan Development Network (AKDN) Ali Akbar Pasnani and his accompanying delegation the other day, a statement from the ministry said.
Both sides discussed some issues on agenda, with the AKDN special representative briefing the acting minister about his led network’s activities in Afghanistan.
“The AKDN is working on a long-term cooperation draft to provide the Afghan people with cooperation in the fields of agriculture, health, education and other cultural and development areas,” said the statement quoting the representative. Commending Pasnani for his led organization’s cooperation in the fields of humanitarian assistance, the acting minister asked him for the resumption of work on the semi-constructed projects and well maintenance of the completed projects, according to the source.
The acting minister also expressed hope that the AKDN could facilitate on quality verification of food and health items and cooperate with the related organs in the prevention of low-quality medications and foodstuff, the statement concluded.
