Afghans mark Eid al-Fitr days with happiness and in a peaceful environment

Afghans celebrated the auspicious days of Eid al-Fitr with happiness and in a peaceful environment across the country. On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, the Eid prayer was offered in a peaceful and brotherhood environment almost in all big mosques and Eidgahs in all provinces of the country. In their Eid messages, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has asked for keeping unity and living in brotherhood as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate in his message issued on the occasion of the auspicious Eid al-Fitr said that peace, brotherhood and unity have been granted to the people of Afghanistan. “Allah Almighty has granted us the Islamic Sharia System, peace, brotherhood and unity, all of these are blessings from which we were deprived for decades, now, that Allah has reminded us of these blessings, it is incumbent upon us to express gratitude, to acknowledge them, to support them, to reform them accordingly, and to strive for goodness,” said the Supreme Leader in his Eid message. He further said that over the past decades, Afghanistan has faced numerous challenges in terms of insecurity, lawlessness, and adversities, adding that after many struggles and sacrifices, Allah Almighty has given them a great reward to ensure security throughout the country as well as, ensuring both visible security and internal peace. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund in his Eid message has said that Afghans living abroad should return home and make use of the opportunities available, adding that Afghans are able to celebrate Eid in a country that’s secure and free from the occupation of foreigners. Also, in his message, the Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar has emphasized the need for unity among Muslims around the world. The IEA officials also stressed that Afghanistan was the home of all Afghans, saying that Afghans living in other countries of the world should return and take part in development and reconstruction of their country together with the Islamic Emirate. With the Islamic Emirate takeover, overall security situation has unprecedentedly improved across the country. Afghans mark their religious and national festivals with happiness and in peaceful environment in the country for the past almost three years. They are happy about better security measures taken during these festivals in the country. The Islamic Emirate security forces have always been praised for maintaining better security in the country. Afghanistan Apex Court Committee on Tuesday night announced that Shawwal moon was sighted; hence, the tasked committee declared Wednesday as the first day of Eid al- Fitr, which is a time of joy and celebration. A time when Muslims gather with family and friends, exchange gifts, share food and engage in other festivities. Eid al-Fitr is a three-day festival celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, upon the sighting of the new moon.
