Afghanistan’s soil would never be used against others

Following Pakistan’s increasing concern about continued instability in Pakistan and claims that some groups are using Afghanistan’s soil against the neighboring country, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan clearly notified that nobody is allowed to use Afghanistan’s soil against others. Days ago, the National Security Council of Pakistan in a statement voiced concerns about the presence of terrorist organizations in Afghanistan and said that this has increased instability in Pakistan. This concern was expressed during the National Security Council of Pakistan’s 41st meeting, which took place on Friday in Islamabad and was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It was noted that due to the return of the dangerous terrorists and support of different terrorist organizations to them from Afghanistan, peace and stability, which was the result of innumerable sacrifices and continuous efforts, was affected,” the statement added. The Islamic Emirate has repeatedly rejected such claims saying that terrorist groups are using Afghanistan soil against Pakistan. The Islamic Emirate spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid by rejecting the recent claim of Pakistan that Pakistani Taliban are using Afghanistan soil against Pakistan said that Afghanistan was not in favor of war in other countries, stressing that nobody was allowed to use Afghanistan’s soil against others. “The Afghans have been tired of war; therefore, we’re not in favor of war not only in Afghanistan but also in other countries of the region. We will never let anybody use Afghanistan’s soil against others,” Mujahid said. Meanwhile, a number of Afghan political experts believe that Pakistan should resolve its problems and concerns through diplomatic channels with the Islamic Emirate. “Pakistan can reach an agreement with the Islamic Emirate on such a mechanism,” said Ahmad Javed, an Afghan political expert. He said instead of blaming Afghanistan, Pakistan should go for resolving their security challenges. A number of Afghan citizens in their interviews with The Kabul Times correspondent said that Pakistan is expected to be a good neighbor of Afghanistan and try not to blame Afghanistan for the current instability in that country. They say that the people of Afghanistan are tired of war; therefore, they do not want their country to be ground for double games of regional and world countries. According to these Afghan citizens, Pakistan played a role in destabilizing Afghanistan for many years, and this time the government of the Islamic Emirate should not allow them to continue their interventions in Afghanistan again. They can talk through diplomatic channels rather than blame Afghanistan for what’s happening in Pakistan. Earlier, a high-ranking Pakistani delegation had paid visit to Kabul to expand security and economic cooperation and discussed with the officials of the Islamic Emirate. Shukria Kohistani
