Afghanistan’s exports reach $1,900m this outgoing year

KABUL: Afghanistan has exported domestic products worth 1,900 million U.S. dollars within the current outgoing solar year, a statement from the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said Monday.
“The country’s exports in the previous year were only 850 million U.S. dollars,” said the statement.
The products included coal, dried fruits, tomato, cotton and figs as well as carpets and medicinal plants, which have been exported to China, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, UAE, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and India, according to the statement.
The Islamic Emirate has speed up efforts to restore transparency in the country’s exports and imports as it has strongly fought corruption over the past more than one year, since its resumption of power on August 15, 2021.
