Afghanistan welcomes re-accreditation of AIHRC as A-Status institution

KAB UL: Afghanistan government has welcomed re-accreditation of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) as A-Status institution by Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHIR).
Based on 58 article of the country’s constitution, Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission has been established to oversee on observation of human rights in the country. During the past year, the commission by its effective activities and unprecedented achievements in the field of maintaining human rights in Afghanistan has been able to obtain the re-accreditation of it’s A-Status for next five years and status has been reaccredited by members of Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHIR).
Based on 7th article of the country’s constitution, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is committed to observing principles of human rights in the country.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani by welcoming this achievement said that the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was committed to protection of values of human rights and supporting those organizations and individuals that were making effort to protection of human rights.
