KABUL: The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has welcomed the European Union (EU) statement on supporting the Afghan peace process, guarantying peace agreement between the stakeholders and cooperation in the implementation of the post-peace agreement programs, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Tuesday. Welcoming the main stance of the European Union and confirming the country’s constitution values and the last achievements of the government and the people of Afghanistan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan called the said statement too imperative in accessing a lasting peace and end of war in the country and added that the European Union has gained successful experience relating to guarantying peace agreement in different countries, said the statement.
The EU has reassured its full cooperation for an inclusive peace, including reforms in the sector of security, guarantee to peace agreement when demanded by the stakeholders, cooperation in the reintegration of the warriors and their households and expansion of trade and regional connectivity.
