Afghanistan to take on South Africa in the warm-up match today.

Afghanistan’s national cricket team is all set to play their first warm-up match of the t20 World Cup against South Africa today (Monday, October 18) at 2:30 in Abu Dhabi Oval 2 Stadium.
Afghan cricketers completed their COVID-19 quarantine late on Sunday and are all prepared to play the World Cup.
The national team was joined by the skipper Muhammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, and Mujeeburahman and did practice on Sunday, Afghanistan’s national cricket team will play their first official match of the World Cup against a qualified team from Group B on October 25 in Abu Dhabi.

The team will also play against Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and a qualified team from Group A.
Cricket analysts are optimistic about Afghanistan in this World Cup and have predicted the team to go up to the semifinal, On the other hand, people in Afghanistan believe that the recent political changes may have affected the players and their morale.

The T20 World Cup officially started yesterday, October 17 in Oman where a qualifier round is scheduled to be played, On the first day, Oman beat PNG by ten wickets, and Scotland overcame Bangladesh in the second match.
