Afghanistan onion exported to India first ever

KABUL: A shipment of Afghanistan’s onion worth 91 million Afghani (some 1.3 million U.S. dollars) has been exported to India for the first time, Radio Television of Afghanistan (RTA) reported the other day. A significant quantity of 8,000 tons of onions has been exported from Kunar province via Pakistan to India for the first time, the TV said. Meanwhile, the relevant provincial officials assured that they provide the traders with the necessary cooperation and facilities so they can export their products to the markets of the neighboring and world countries. After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) the country’s exports have been increased to the foreign markets. The Kabul Times
