Afghanistan not a threat to other countries, Interior Minister

KABIL: The country’s Acting Minister of Interior, Khalifa Sarajuddin Haqqani, speaking in a gathering in Sabari district of Khost province said Afghanistan seeking bilateral relations with the int’l community.
The meeting was called by religious scholars, tribal leaders, social activists, university and school students, Khalifa once again called on the international community for a positive and legitimate interaction.
Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani explained in his speech that the Islamic Emirate of “Afghanistan is ready and willing to have economic and diplomatic relations with the world and will never be a threat to the rest of the world” said minister Haqqani.
He called for the immediate release of Afghans’ frozen assets, adding that it’s unfair to block Afghan assets while struggling whit severe hunger.
Haqqani also praised the patience and courage of the Afghan people but called on the countries of the world to restore official relations to meet the legitimate needs of the two sides.
The Acting Minister of Interior is making these remarks at a time when many countries of the world have shown interest in restoring relations with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan but the series of official recognition has not yet started and the Afghan people are insisting on the world and calling for the establishment of official relations and the release of nine billion dollars of frozen assets.
