Afghanistan National Archive reopened

KABUL: Ministry of Information and Culture has reopened the country’s National Archive to visitors.
Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mawlavi Khairullah Khairkhwah, deputy minister of information and culture for publications and spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid, deputy minister of information and culture for cultural affairs Mawlavi Saaduddin Sayeed and a number of the week the country’s National Archive and its various sections to visitors.

Emirate Zabihullah Mujahid said that the country’s National Archive had been closed for the protection of the country’s historic artefacts and better management of affairs.
Mujahid assured that all artefacts of the National Archive were safe, adding that the ministry of information and culture was making effort to further expand National Archive and provide necessary facilitations to visitors to visit the country’s various historic artefacts.
Meanwhile, deputy minister of information and culture for cultural affairs Mawlavi Saaduddin
Sayeed told Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) that part of the National Archive building which has been destroyed due to natural incidents would be renovated, assuring that the country’s all historic artefacts
including Bakhtar treasury were safe and under maintenance.
Deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate Belal Karimi, participating in the reopening ceremony, also said that the Islamic Emirate was trying to get back the country’s historic artefacts that have been trafficked outside the country in recent years. It is worth mentioning that Afghanistan National Archive, which had been
closed after the fall of the previous government, was reopened last week to visitors.
