Afghanistan exports exceed 400 Mln U.S. dollars in three months

KABUL: The volume of Afghanistan exports has exceeded 400 million U.S. dollars in the first three months of solar year 1401 in Persian calendar commenced from March 21, Chamber of Commerce and Investment said the other day.
Mohammad Yonus Mohmmand the chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) said that the country exported nearly 19,000 tons of fresh fruits and about 1.8 million worth more than 400 million U.S. dollars over the period.
Afghanistan’s major exports composed of fresh and dry fruits are mostly exported to India and Pakistan and the coal utterly to Pakistan.
According to the source, Afghanistan has been making efforts to increase its exports to the central Asian countries including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
In the meantime, Afghan traders demanded the IEA to restore the air corridor and resume exports to the neighboring China, Europe and Arab countries.
Afghanistan’s export reached more than 1 billion U.S. dollars in the solar year of 1400, according to media. The Kabul Times
