Afghanistan exported goods worth over $1billion in 8 months

KABUL: Afghanistan, under the Islamic Emirate, has exported commodities reaching nearly 1,250 million U.S. dollars over the last eight months to foreign countries, said a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs office the other day.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan helped export commodities worth nearly $1250 million during the past eight months, which is a record-breaking development in the trade history of the country,” said the statement.
Dried fruits and saffron of the country have been exported via Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to the European countries, said the statement.
Also, the country’s exports increased via the central Asian countries; Pakistan, India and Iran, according to the statement.
Exchange of trades and export has also increased via the economic corridor of the country to Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan and China over the last eight months.
The country also exported pine nuts via Turkish route to Italia and Germany within the period, the statement said.
