KABUL: Afghanistan has exported its domestic products worth 1.811 billion U.S. dollars in the last solar year, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement the other day. Most exported commodities were cotton, corn, dry fig, Asafoetida, raisin, onions, grapes, apples, saffron, pomegranates and tomatoes which have been exported to Pakistan, India, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, China, Iran, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and United States of America (USA), the statement said, adding due to the decrease in coal exports, the country’s exports have a 6 percent reduction comparing to the previous year. Efforts are underway to develop trade relations with the neighboring and regional countries to increase goods exports in the current solar year. Due to the efforts of the Islamic Emirate and the interest of many countries in the world for Afghan products, many countries are interested in buying the country’s domestic products.
