KABUL: Afghanistan has exported its domestic products worth 1.6 bln U.S. dollars in the last ten months of the outgoing solar year, a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the other day.
“Efforts are underway to develop trade relations with the neighboring and regional countries for increasing of goods export,” the statement said.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Abdul Salam Akhundzada said that the most exported commodities were coal, corn, cotton and raisin which have been exported to Pakistan, Iran, China, Russia and India.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the increase in exports depends on the provision of necessary facilities for the traders.
“If the process continues the same, the level of the country’s exports will reach to 2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of the current solar year,” the Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.
