Afghanistan embassy in Tehran, consulate in Turkiye handed over to IEA diplomats

Kabul: Afghanistan embassy in Tehran and consulate in Turkiye have officially been handed over to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) diplomats, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the other day.
“Afghanistan Embassy in Tehran officially was handed over on Monday to the Islamic Emirate,” the statement quoted the Deputy Spokesperson of the ministry, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal as saying. According to the Deputy Spokesperson, a number of Afghan diplomats who headed by the new Afghan charge d’affairs Fazl Mohammad Haqqani have been dispatched to Tehran to provide services for Afghan refugees.
“Handing over of Afghanistan Embassy to the Islamic Emirate is an important and constructive step in the bilateral relations of two countries,” Takal said.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan consulate in Istanbul of Turkiye has also officially been handed over to the Islamic Emirate and Gulmat Khan Zadran has been appointed as the new consul-general of the Islamic Emirate there, a statement from the foreign ministry said. The Islamic Emirate has already sent its representatives to Afghanistan’s embassies and consulates in Pakistan, China, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Russia.
