KABUL: The Afghanistan National Cricket(ANC) team completed a historic eight-wicket victory in World Cup 2023 over Pakistan for the first time in ODI in Chennai. Set a target of 283 to win, Afghanistan’s top three all hit halfcenturies as they produced a highquality run chase to reach the target with eight wickets in hand and an over to spare. Ibrahim Zadran made 87, Rahmanullah Gurbaz smacked 65 and Rahmat Shah struck an unbeaten 77 as Afghanistan reached their target of 283 with eight wickets and six balls to spare. It is the first time Afghanistan has won two games at a World Cup after they beat England by 69 runs earlier in the tournament. The Kabul Times
