Afghanistan can bridge south, west & central Asia, Chinese ambassador

Terrorism threat, economic growth and strategic changes of China and India have proven the Central Asia’s stability and connection as a priority to developing powers.
One of the Chinese president’s innovation is ‘One Road One Belt’, aims to improve influence in foreign countries and protect high growth rate in China.
Whether this plan would succeed or not, but China needs a stabilized Afghanistan through which to protect its investment in entire region.
During a trilateral meeting of Afghanistan, Pakistan and China held in Pakistan, Chinese ambassador in that country said Afghanistan could play a linking bridge role for western, South and Central Asia.
Using all our capacities, China as a facilitator is making effort to take steps to help tackle Afghanistan’s domestic challenges, he stated.
Beijing and Islamabad want Kabul to join ‘One Road One Belt’ outline particularly China and Pakistan’s joint economic corridor ‘CPEC), he added.
China and Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) costs $57 billion is the key cooperation plan between the two countries that would be completed in 2025.
Key changes are about to take place in soth Asia, a Pakistani politician Mushahid Hussein said.
During the meeting, Afghanistan’s former ambassador in Pakistan Omar Zakhilwal said, ‘I believe that political and economical borders should split upin order despite political tensions, the regional people can use the economic capacities in a best way.’
Kabul supports CPEC’s expansion in Afghanistan’s soil, because, it would not only help Afghanistan to domestically develop, but it will also bolster relations between this country and other regional countries, he added.
In fact, China is a good friend of Afghanistan. Afghans believe that cooperation between the two countries would result in ensuring peace, development, progress and prosperity of both countries’ people.
China, particularly over the last one and half a decade, has proven its honesty before Afghanistan.
Earlier, China’s regional studies center head during a meeting with officials of the ministry for information and culture briefed about historical and good relations of Afghanistan and China, Silk Route and ‘One Road One Belt’ project, saying the project is key to bolster economic political and relations among the regional and Asian countries.
Therefore, it is hoped the project would pave the way for further cooperation of both countries.
