MAZAR-I-SHARIF: Nine Italian tourists including women have visited recreational and historical sites of the country’s northern province of Balkh, the pr vincial Information and Culture Directorate said in a statement Tuesday. While visiting the historical sites of the province, the tourists said that Afghanistan is one of the best places for tourism in the world and lots of people were interested to visit the historical and recreational sites of the country, according to the statement. Italian tourists added that Afghani foods, culture and countless historical and recreational places of the country have attracted us to travel here, the statement added. Head of Tourism of the provincial Information and Culture Directorate Abdul Wahid Ahadi said that after the resumption of power by the IEA and ensuring countrywide sure security, the number of foreign and domestic tourists visiting the historical sites of the province have been increased in the past days, the statement further added. Based on the reports, over 190 people from Canada, France, Russia, Italy and Germany have visited the historical monuments of the province in the past three months. Sure security, countless historical sites and touristic facilities have caused increasing number of tourists visiting the country’s historical and recreational sites and natural attractions this year.
