Youth are the future of a nation and society. The country lies in the hands of the youth. They make the nation and society. In the current circumstances Afghanistan is facing, the youth have the responsibility to do their best to make use of their talents to serve their people and build the country. The youth hope for an Afghanistan free of poverty and unemployment, and an environment in which they can get higher education without any problems. The youth hope for an Afghanistan full of creative challenges and opportunities to conquer them. Unfortunately, the past four decades of imposed war in the country have caused Afghan youth to lose all the opportunities for getting education and driving the country toward the highest peak of development. The role of youth is of most importance in today’s time. Young participation is important because youth are the country’s power. Youths recognize problems and can solve them. Youth are strong forces in social movements. They educate children about their rights. They help other young people attain a higher level of Intellectual ability and become qualified adults. Youth are vital, potential agents for positive societal change. As all know the power of the youth, let us address all problems and challenges facing the Afghan youth in the country. Let us work together with the youth and make use of their talents, experiences and profession for the development, reconstruction and betterment of our country. It is necessary to provide the youth with ground and facilities to get education and to work in their country. Afghan youth are still trying their best to leave the country and it seems that the country is losing its power by passing each single day as youth are the power of a country. Let us provide work opportunities for our youth to work in their country as unemployment is a major concern for youth in the country. Afghanistan is the largest youth population in the region. The youth have the power to make our country from the third-world nation to a developing and developed nation. If all necessary opportunities and ground are provided to the country’s youth, we are sure that Afghanistan can become a developed nation. It is time that the Islamic Emirate should create and promote spaces in order for youth to engage constructively in socioeconomic processes without fear and insecurity. Although the Islamic Emirate has provided ground to the country’s youth to get education and higher education, it is also time to hear the youth what problems and challenges they are facing now in the country. They should together work and find ways to address the existing problems. Zaifullah Hamdard
