KABUL: A total of 303 Afghan refugees earlier prisoned by the Pakistani officials, have recently been released in Sindh state of the neighboring country, Kabul-based Pakistani embassy wrote on its Twitter handle.
“As a result of the efforts of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad, 303 Afghans, including 63 women and 71 children, have been released from the Haidarabad prisons of Sindh state,” the embassy twitted.
The released refugees were sent to their home country, according to the embassy’s tweet adding all costs of the prisoners including transportation, food, water and clothing were provided by the embassy in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, on Saturday 524 Afghans, including 54 women and 97 children, were released from the prisons of Karachi, which were prisoned on charge of not having legal documents” the embassy twitted. The Kabul Times
