Afghan products exhibition to be held in Ashgabat

KABUL: The Acting Industry and Commerce Minister Nooruddin Azizi met with Khawaja Awadov the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kabul, the ministry said in a statement the other day. In the meeting, both sides discussed several issues of mutual interest including the roadmap for increasing trade and transit between the two countries and facilitating the issuance of visas for Afghan businessmen, the statement said. Emphasizing the increase of Afghanistan’s exports to Turkmenistan, Azizi said that the Islamic Emirate wants good trade and transit relations with the neighboring countries, according to the statement. Addressing the meeting, the Turkmen ambassador said that his country is interested in importing marble from Afghanistan, the statement added. Also, both sides agreed on holding an exhibition of Afghan products in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and hold ing bilateral business meetings between businessmen of the two countries.
