KABUL: Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has informed of completion of the Afghan pilgrims’ return operation with the arrival of the last group at Kabul International Airport on Wednesday.
According to the ministry of hajj and Islamic affairs, a total of 13,582 Afghan pilgrims performed the hajj ritual this year. The pilgrims’ return operation had started on July 15 of the current year.
The ministry said that the last group of the Afghan pilgrims arrived at the Kabul International Airport yesterday, marking the completion of the return process.
According to the ministry, all facilities had been provided for Afghan pilgrims in Kabul, Makka and Madina cities. Based on an agreement with the ministry, Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air have been booked to complete the transportation of Afghan pilgrims.
