Afghan-Kazakh Business Forum kicks off in Kabul

KABUL: Participating by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, the AfghanKazakh Business Forum has been kicked off in the capital Kabul, enabling industrialists and entrepreneurs from both sides to forge agreements across various sectors and leverage each other’s expertise. The forum was attended by a number of high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate including the Deputy PM for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Noorddin Azizi and Serik Zhomangren, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said in a statement the other day. Mullah Beradar Akhund underscored the significance of the forum for fostering trade and industrial growth between the two nations, highlighting a previous forum held in Kazakhstan that resulted in multimillion-dollar contract signings, according to the statement. Emphasizing the investment opportunities available in Afghanistan, Mullah Beradar welcomed domestic, foreign, and notably Kazakh investors to explore various sectors, assuring them of comprehensive support from the Islamic Emirate. Stressing the significance of the endeavor to the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Beradar pledged full cooperation in its execution. Meanwhile, the deputy PM for political affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said: “Islamic Emirate is moving toward the right and good political and economic direction. With national security provision, the investment environment has become favorable.” Also, Foreign Acting Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed that both regional countries and the international community have grasped the reality and are seeking positive engagement with Afghanistan. Muttaqi stated that the Islamic Emirate has made significant efforts to establish constructive relations with the entire world and regional countries holding a special position. “In recent days, Kabul has hosted high-ranking delegations from other countries including Russia, Malaysia, the European Union, Kazakhstan, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and some other countries” the statement quoted Muttaqi as saying.
