KABUL: The Afghanistan Cricket team toured Zimbabwe in June 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches, the Afghan Cricket Board said. The ODI series formed a part of the inaugural 2020-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
Afghanistan won the opening ODI match by 60 runs, the second ODI, with an unbeaten century from Ibrahim Zadran, to take an unassailable lead in the three-match series, and the third and final ODI by four wickets to win the series 3–0.
Rahmat Shah, top order batsman with 198 runs was player of the series for ODI series according to the source.
In the T20I series, Afghanistan won the first match by six wickets, the second by 21 runs to all win the series and third and final match of the tour by 35 runs to seal the T20I series by 3–0. as well.
Najibullah Zadran, the low order hitter batsman with 103 runs was declared as player of the series for T20I series.
