Afghan Abdalyan beat England Lions by 5 wickets

Afghan Abdalyan (Afghanistan A team) beat England Lions (England A team) in one-off 3-Day match in United Arab Emirates by 5 wickets. The match started this Sunday, December 3 in Abu Dhabi and ended with Afghan Abdalyan win on Tuesday, December 5. Before the match start, England Lions won the toss and elected to bat first. With an excellent bowling show from Afghan Abdalyan, England were all out for 137 in the first inning. Afghan bowlers Zia Akbar took 4 wickets, Zahir Khan 2, Sharafuddin Ashraf 2 and Nijat Masoud also took 1 wicket for Afghanistan. bdalyan scored 174 runs and took the lead of 37 runs with skipper Ikram Alikhil’s 56 and Darwish Rasooli’s 44 runs in batting. When the 3rd innings started, Afghan bowlers bowled very well again and bundled out England Lions on 186 runs with an outstanding bowling performance from Zia Akbar who took 6 wickets including a hat-trick to his name. He was accompanied by fast bowler Salim Safi taking 3 wickets. With this, England Lions set a target of 147 runs to Afghan Abdalyan. In the fourth and last inning, Afghanistan chased down the target and beat England Lions by 5 wickets.
