Advance payment for farmers discussed in SCADF’s meeting, ministry

The approved amount would be paid for the growth and development of
agriculture and livestock and expansion of investment for applicants, through
Islamic financial services, and will cover more than 5,000 farmers in the country,
the statement added.

KABUL: The 9th meeting of the Supreme Council of the Agriculture Development Fund (SCADF) was held with the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, discussing issues on the agenda, the ministry said in a statement Saturday. Advance payment of 2.2 billion Afghani of Islamic financial services for farmers, ranchers and entrepreneurs in agriculture and livestock sectors has been approved in the meeting for 2024, the statement said, adding necessary information was given about activities of the Agriculture Development Fund in 2023 and the plans for 2024. The approved amount would be paid for the growth and development of agriculture and livestock and expansion of investment for applicants, through Islamic financial services, and will cover more than 5,000 farmers in the country, the statement added. Also, Mawlavi Omari added the services of the Agriculture Development Fund have been useful for farmers, and gardeners and efforts should be made to provide Islamic financial services more efficiently so people can benefit from loans.
