81 development projects completed countrywide last year

KABUL: Afghanistan National Development Company (NDC) has informed that 81 development projects have been completed in past one year in the country. Officials of the country’s national development company say dozens of various development projects have been completed in different parts of the country in the past one year.
Speaking to participants and journalists in accountability program to the nation on Wednesday, deputy director of finance and administration of NDC Mawlavi Abdul Wali Adil said the NDC has started work on 692 different projects worth 112 million afghani in the country.
Over the past one year, he said, the NDC completed 81 projects in different parts of the country and besides this, work on national and infrastructure projects has been started, signing agreements, collection of revenue, payments of load and retrieving grabbed government land were the achievements of the company over the past one year.
He added that starting work on the implementation of irrigation canals project from Qush Tepa and Namak ab projects, Turk, Khushk and Machalgho, completion of Dasht-e-Abdan Tangi, Sang-e-Aabsayeand Yoch Chak dams, hydel power projects of 3rd Bagh Sarobi and 2nd Sarobi, designing of Abgardan dam in Farah and management of water resources were the key achievements of the company.
According to information of the country’s national development company, the company is working in four sectors including water resources management, agriculture, construction and production and retrieved 1428 acres of government land and 55 shops from land grabbers besides paying loads of more than 2 billion afghani and providing direct and indirect jobs to thousands of people in the country.
