6 injured in water clash in Kapisa

MAHMUD RAQI: Clash over water between two families in the country’s eastern Kapisa province have left six persons injured, said a statement of the provincial police department released on Monday. The gruesome incident took place Sunday evening when two families quarreled over water distribution in Police District 2 of the provincial capital Mahmud Raqi City. The clash resulted in four persons from one family and two others from the other side injured, the statement said without providing more details. Several provinces of Afghanistan including Kapisa and the national capital Kabul city have been facing drought as the underground water level has receded over the past couple of years. Continued drought, according to farmers has also affected agricultural products in parts of the war-battered Afghanistan. The Kabul Times
