200 families provided with drinking water in Helmand

LASHKARGAH: As many as 200 families have been provided with safe and drinking water in the country’s southern province of Helmand, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement the other day. Deputy Director of the provincial Information and Culture Departmetn Mawlavi Mohammad Qasim Riaz said that the purification machine had been installed in Lashkargha Bazaar by the Agriculture Department with financial support the MoAIL, providing 200 families with potable water, the statement added. An area residents Zubair expressed happiness with the establishment of the project. He recalled they previously encountered problems in terms of access to clean drinking water.
