KABUL: First Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar met with a number of Afghan businessmen in the United Arab Emirates, the prime minister office reported the other day.
In the meeting, the deputy Prime Minister said they can invest in Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate is committed to provide them with all facilities.
“In any sector, you are interested to invest in Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate is committed to provide you with the opportunities. It is our responsibility to provide you with a safe working environment and to build this country together.” He added as quoted by the statement.
“Fortunately, after the restoration of the Islamic system in Afghanistan, corruption has been eradicated, so everyone has an opportunity to work in a corruption free environment, we call on all Afghan businessmen and investors to come and invest in their own country,” he assured.
Baradar went on as saying: “We came to Kabul at a time when the previous administration of Kabul had stolen all the banks and the properties of the people. Everything was destroyed, the best example of which is the Kabul airport.”
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs also thanked some world countries for their generous hospitality, respect for the Afghan people and assistance to them at various times.
