18th package of humanitarian aids arrive in Kabul

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Central Bank-Da Afghanistan Bank- in a statement said that as the United Nation’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan continues, the 18th package of having $32 million in cash has arrived in Kabul on Saturday, March 12, 2022. The amount of money has been delivered to Afghanistan International Bank (AIB).
The new package of cash brings the total amount of money aided by the UN to $280 million in cash.
Da Afghanistan Bank has expressed gratitude to the international donors and asked for further assistance so that the government of Afghanistan continues its financial and economic relations with World Community.
The United Nations decided delivery of cash to Afghanistan after the country’s banking and monetary sectors were crippled and the people confronted a lack of cash.
The delivery of cash that aims devaluation of US dollars against the local currency (Afghani), helped the cause and the one dollar is now exchanged for 84 Afghani was over one hundred in the first months of the IEA. The Kabul Times
