14 development projects to be implemented in Helmand

LASHKARGAH: The Municipality of the country’s southern province of Helmand, in a statement, said the other day that it plans to implement 14 development projects worth 86 million Afghani (some 1.2 million U.S. dollars) in the current solar year. The projects including the construction of roads, toilets for women and men, parks, installation of lights in the city, and reconstruction of water supply networks and parks, would be implemented in eight municipal districts of the provincial capital, the statement said. With the successful launching of the projects, hundreds of people would be provided with job opportunities, the statement added. After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) hundreds of development projects have been implemented and construction work on hundreds of others is underway across the country.
